The Kate Clutch - $65  This is a great gift that comes in over 200 colors and can be carried year around. A great plus to this clutch is that it is big enough to fit most everything you need for an evening out - wallet, phone, camera, and lipgloss!

La Vie Jewelry $40-$90 We love La Vie Jewelry and have many pieces in our showroom.  These lockets  and necklaces can be layered or worn alone adding a great accessory to any outfit.

The Anne Skirt - $85 - The straight Anne skirt is the perfect skirt that can be dressed up or down.  This too comes in over 200 colors and patterns. 

Pins and Brooches - $35 - The great thing about these is they can be put on any dress, skirt, or top to add alittle color or sparkle.  All of our silk rosette brooches are made to order in any color.

The Perfect Occasion Skirt

We always find ourselves looking for the perfect holiday or party dress, but what about a really fabulous skirt?! Recently, we had a client design the perfect skirt for any formal occasion and had to share it with all of you.  The skirt is our floor length Angelica skirt with a gathered waist band and finished off beautifully in the back with a self tie bow(which actually hides the zipper too so it looks great and serves a purpose!).  There is no doubt this skirt is going to look great with a black sweater and heels.  For all of you out there who would prefer a different color or length, we have over 200 colors to choose from and all of our skirts and dresses come in any length.  Remember to order you can visit our showroom in Murfreesboro(123 S Church Street), call us at 615.924.7222, or we have just listed this item on our etsy storefront where it can be purchased as well.

Brittany and John!

We here at Kerried Away are excited to share with you these wonderful photos from Brittany and John's October wedding! For her bridesmaid dresses Brittany chose this stunning ultra violet silk dupioni. She then allowed each of her girls to choose their own style from our style guide!
Alexis chose to pair our one shoulder Patricia bodice with our straight, knee length LouLou skirt. She then added the large bow detail at the shoulder.
Tabbitha chose our sweetheart, strapless Melanie Bodice, also paired with our LouLou skirt.
The beautiful mother to be, Amanda chose our scoop neck Kayla Bodice, and added a fantastic double ruffle detail around the neckline. She then chose to pair the bodice with the perfectly flattering Patricia skirt. We hope you all enjoy these photo's! Dresses and Skirts for Everyday and Social Occasions

At Kerried Away we dont just have options for the bride and bridal party we also offer great choices for everyday and social occasions.  With Fall upon us and Winter right around the corner, we thought we might highlight a few of our favorite silk solids that would be great on a skirt for work or a dress for a holiday party!  Remember, don't be afraid to go bold!  The hot pink skirt in the picture above is a great example of how much fun a pop of color can be!

 




  



 





    







Accessories for the Bride and Bridesmaids

Kerried Away offers many accessory options for brides and bridesmaids. Sometimes brides need a little something extra to make her dress her own. The sash below is a great way to add a little sparkle to a wedding dress or even a rehearsal dinner or reception dress.  This sash is an example of just one of many sashes we offer at Kerried Away.

A more casual wedding might call for something a bit different.  The sash below can be made in any color combination.  You can see that we also made pins for the bridesmaids which helps tie the whole look together. 

Hair accessories and jewelry are another great option for your wedding day look.  Here's a peek at a few pieces we favor at Kerried Away.  Regardless of your wedding style, accessories are a great way to make your wedding day attire alittle extra special.



Choosing the Perfect Bridesmaid Dresses

We recently had a great event with Ashely's Bride Guide and Love Bird Style.  During the event we talked alot about wedding style and choosing the right bridesmaid dresses.  We found it only fitting that we share some of these tips with everyone.  Tips are presented through Kerried Away's 3 step design process - 1. Choose You Style, 2. Choose Your Fabric, 3. Choose Your Details

1. Choosing Your Style
Lets remember that women are NOT "One Size Fits All" so think about choosing a style that flatters many body types.  A dress that can be worn again is always a plus.  You will also want to think about your wedding style - Formal? Vintage? Beach?  Check out the dresses that one of our brides choose below...You'll notice its a one shoulder dress with a slightly gathered skirt both of which are great on many body types.

 2. Choosing Your Fabric
 Cotton, Silk, Blends, and More!  These are all options at Kerried Away but it is important to choose a fabric that will flow with your wedding style.  Think Cotton for more casual weddings and Taffeta for evening affairs.  When thinking about color, first think about your wedding colors and then think about which ones will look great on all skin tones.  Brights and neutrals are always great choices.  Outdoor or Vintage Wedding?? Don't be afraid of mixing solids with patterns!  The Kerried Away dress below would be great for an outdoor spring or summer wedding.

3. Choosing Your Details

Ruffles, Bows, Pockets and Sashes are a few details we offer at Kerried Away.  You might think about highlighting your Maid of Honor with a detachable bow.  The great thing about this is the wearability aspect - she gets 2 looks out of one dress!   The rose colored Taffeta dress below is a great example of 2 looks in one. 

This is also the phase in the design process where you think about cost...Style, Fabric, and Details all affect the cost of dresses.  A general price range is $150-$350.  If you fall in love with a style or fabric that is more expensive, consider covering a portion of it as a gift.

Kerried Away's New Blog and Showroom!

Welcome to our new blog! It has been a busy few months at Kerried Away, but we are so excited to be starting a blog...FINALLY!  First bit of news, Kerried Away now has a showroom.  We couldn't be happier with our new location on the Downtown Square in Murfreesboro.

Here Lane(our Manager and Stylist) and I(Kerri) are at our opening party.  We had such a great night celebrating all of our hard work on getting the showroom ready! 

So you might be thinking what are the details on our little showroom?!  We are open Tuesday - Friday 10am - 6pm, Saturday 10am-3pm and by private appointment.  You can stop in, browse, and try on samples of our dresses and skirts and choose from over 250 fabrics and many details to make a one of a kind dress or skirt.  All orders are sewn in house by local designers and seamstresses.  Shopping at Kerried Away is an EXPERIENCE...we want you to create a memory and walk out with something perfect for you! 

We can't wait to share more with you and hope you'll decide to become a follower!
